Pizza, Wolfwalkers, and Eclipses with Wren Paris

Today is my kid's birthday! Happy Birthday, Wren. It just so happens that I did an It's My Treat with them and didn't write it up, so here we go with a delayed edition featuring my favorite person.

Wren and their other parent, Pip, came down to visit for the eclipse a while back. They spent the night with me and then headed out to the eclipse the next morning and then back to my place for the night. When they first got down here we met up with Pip's brother and his family at Dos Reales for dinner. It was delicious, but I did not pay for it, so it doesn't count for this project.

But the next night when they got back after the eclipse watch they spent the evening with me and we had dinner together. They were both tired, so it was just some Little Caesar's pizza at my place, but I'll count it. Pizza was pizza, so no need to comment more about that. Pip was exhausted so hit the sack early, so that left Wren and I to talk and watch a movie.

Wren had a good time seeing the eclipse. They went over by Indianapolis, so they were in totality. Only problem was looking up all the time gave them a bit of a headache. Don't remember all we talked about, but sometimes it is just good to be in the same room and just talk about whatever.

Next, we watched Wolfwalkers, the animated movie. Wren loves animated movies and this is one of their favorites. While we have both seen it a few times before, it still holds up after multiple viewings. The animation is lovely. Wren is a digital artist, so really gets into drawing and animation. And the best part was that it was about wolves. Wren has loved wolves since they were a little kid. Even has me donate to help save the red wolves. I remember when they set up a fundraiser and raised some money to donate. They have a good heart, and I love that they are passionate about things.

Going to end up things here but just wanted to share a memory that I had with my kid on their birthday!
